Telemark Guesthouse is a historic farmhouse holiday rental in Ulefoss, carefully modernised with the comforts you need for a relaxed stay. Two family rooms sleep four guests each, and the house has two bathrooms—one with a shower and one with both a shower and bathtub. High-capacity fibre Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchen, EV charging and generous living spaces make longer stays easy.

The house has plenty of soul. In the old cellar, guests can use the traditional wood-fired bread oven to make pizza together. Outside, the large private garden includes a children’s playhouse, a firepit and a sauna tent. You are also welcome to walk in the forest belonging to the property and enjoy apples, plums, cherries and currants when they are in season.

Room for everyone — how the house sleeps

The farmhouse has four bedrooms and sleeps up to 15, so a big family or a few families travelling together each get their own space rather than sharing one crowded room.

Explore Ulefoss and Midt-Telemark

The guesthouse is a convenient base for a holiday in Telemark. The Telemark Canal and Ulefoss locks are close by, while Bø Sommarland is about 30 minutes away by car. Golfers can reach Norsjø Golfpark in around 10 minutes. Canoeing, hiking, local culture and peaceful rural scenery are all within easy reach.

Getting here & good to know

Telemark Guesthouse sits in the countryside between Ulefoss and Lunde — a relaxed base for exploring the region day to day.

• Everything in Ulefoss is about 8 minutes away — the Ulefoss Locks, a supermarket (KIWI), pharmacy and Vinmonopolet — so stocking up and self-catering for a group is easy.
• Drive times: the Telemark Canal and Vrangfoss locks ~10 minutes; Bø Sommarland ~30 minutes.
• Getting around: a car is handy for day trips, but the area is also lovely by bike — quiet local roads and the Telemark Canal make for easy, scenic rides.
• By air: Sandefjord Airport Torp is the nearest (about 1.5 hours by car); Oslo Airport Gardermoen is roughly 2.5–3 hours.
• By train: Lunde is the nearest railway station.
• Parking & EV charging: free parking on site, with EV charging available.
• Check-in / check-out: self check-in via a lockbox — check-in from 15:00, check-out by 11:00. We’re usually flexible, so just ask if you need different times.
• Pets: welcome on request — let us know when you book.
• Good to know: the house is a historic farmhouse with stairs, so it isn’t fully step-free — worth noting if anyone in your group has mobility needs.
